What are Neurotoxins?
This is a medication commonly known as Xeomin®, Jeuveau®, Dysport®, Daxxify® which can help reverse the signs of aging.
How do they work?
The neurotoxin enters the muscle it is injected into relaxing it and slowing its movement. The results of this action cause a smoother appearance of the skin and reduces or eliminates wrinkles.
How long does it take to work?
Results can start to be seen 3-4 days after the injection and last somewhere between 3-4 months depending on the client's lifestyle and metabolism. Regular injections of neurotoxin are recommended for the most consistent and long-term effects.
Post-Treatment Care
- •After neurotoxin injections, it's essential to maintain an upright position for at least four hours. Avoid lying down or bending over excessively during this time to ensure optimal absorption of the Botox.
- •Refrain from engaging in strenuous physical activities and the use of hot tubs/sauna for 48 hours after injection. In addition, avoid any harsh skin treatments or massages on the treated areas for two weeks.
- •While it's normal to experience some redness or minor swelling at the areas of injection, refrain from rubbing or massaging the injected areas to prevent the unintended spread of Botox.
